1 Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest
1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting of the Children, Young People and Education Committee.
1.2 In accordance with Standing Order 34.19, the Chair stated that she had determined that the public were excluded from the Committee’s meeting in order to protect public health but that the meeting would be broadcast live on www.senedd.tv
1.3 Apologies were received from Buffy Williams MS, Mike Hedges MS substituted. As agreed, Sioned Williams MS substituted for Sian Gwenllian MS for this meeting.
1.4 Under Standing Order 17.24A Sioned
Williams MS declared her husband was employed by Swansea University
and was a Member of UCU and a fellow of the Learned Society.
2 Tertiary Education and Research (Wales) Bill - evidence session 7
2.1 The Committee heard evidence from representatives from the National Training Federation for Wales and Adult Learning Wales.
2.2 John Graystone from Adult learning Wales declared he was a Member of the HEFCW Council and Governor of a FE College.
2.3 The National Training Federation for Wales
agreed to provide the exact number of higher apprenticeships level
4 and 5 currently delivered.
